Survey of Major UF Information Technology Units A written request for information was sent to 18 IT units at UF. Input requested included the following unit level information: mission, resources, staff, services provided, and perceived barriers and factors affecting its use.

CCI Campus-wide Computing Recommendations The Cooperative Computing Initiative (CCI) chaired by Earl Robbins convened a one-day retreat to discuss campus information technology recommendations.  After much discussion and open collaboration the group proposed several recommendations to the IT Task Force.

The review is a summary of the major Information Technology reports compiled over the last ten years at UF. The items from those reports have been grouped into broad general categories such as budget, infrastructure, organization, etc. to bring similar recommendations together logically. The full text of each report is also presented separately. The Ref? Column -A check in this column indicates the general issue is presented in the 2000 Information Technology Review Committee Report. This indicates only that the general issue has been identified and addressed by a previous recommendation and does not indicate that the current task force endorses the previous recommendation.

Report of the Task Force on Information Technology Resources titled Directions for Information Technology Resources at the University of Florida. Published August 1991. The task force was chaired by Dr. Ken Portier, Associate Professor of Statistics and Acting Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs. The task force included 25 members from a cross section of the university community. Sometimes referred to as the Portier Report.
