Shibboleth Flow

The figure below shows basic Shibboleth data flow beginning with a user requesting service from a service provider web site. Using Shibboleth, the service provider does not request the user name and password. This is done by the identity provider, which is the UF GatorLink Shibboleth Service.

 

 

Shibboleth Implementation

At UF, Shibboleth can provide authorized application with information regarding users via attribute replease policies (ARPs). Data is provided to Shibboleth from enterprise systems as shown below.
