CIO Report
The CIO reports to the Senior Vice President for Administration
Councils
There are two councils that are directly connected to the CIO.
- The IT Cabinet assists the President and CIO in decision making regarding major IT initiatives and investments.
- The IT Policy Council, through its subcommittees, makes recommendations to the CIO. The CIO decides whether to implement, reject, or return the recommendations for further consideration; or involve the IT Cabinet.
Direct Reports
Directly under the CIO are five units that provide services university-wide:
- Academic Technology
- Computing and Networking Services
- IT Security and Compliance (new)
- University Systems (new)
- Web Adminstration
Dual Reports
Four units report to the corresponding Sr. VP and the CIO. These are:
- Administrative IT (Operations Analysis)
- HSC IT (Academic Information Systems and Support)

- E & G IT
These four units provide customized services to large parts of the University. The Senior Vice Presidents fund these units, establish their priorities and supervise their directors for unit IT work.
