A Remote Access Policy is now in place for the University of Florida. The policy defines how UF will allow remote access connection to its information systems and networks. With a goal of protecting university resources and data from attack and unauthorized internet access, the policy should be discussed with all faculty and staff before they go on leave, sabbatical, or attend a conference or training event. Under this new policy, all methods used to connect remotely to a UF system or service must be approved by the Vice President and CIO. The UF VPN is the preferred and approved method of accessing UF resources from remote locations. Visit the Information Security Office’s remote access page for more details.
