July 10 – Process Changes for a GatorLink Password Reset
The process for resetting a GatorLink password will change July 10 due to a GatorLink Account Management system upgrade. The upgrade adds a layer of security similar to what banks and credit unions now use, which requires a verification code sent via text (SMS) or phone call. The verification code ensures you are actually the one changing your password, protecting you from unauthorized use of your account. This week, visit my.ufl.edu > Main Menu > My Account > Update My Directory Profile. On your myUFL Directory Profile, confirm that your current preferred phone number is listed and up-to-date. If a correct phone number is not available, you won’t be able to enter the verification code. Instead, you’ll need to bring your photo ID to the UF Computing Help Desk in order to complete a password reset.
